JourneyQ ("we", "us", "our") operates the JourneyQ mobile application.

2.1 Information You Provide

• Account data: email address, display name when you sign up or log in.
• Trip and travel data: trips, events, locations, and documents you create or upload.
• Subscription data: plan status and purchase information when you subscribe to Premium.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

• Device information: operating system, app version, device model.
• Usage analytics: screens visited, features used, app lifecycle events. We use PostHog for this purpose.
• Crash data: error type and stack trace when the app crashes.

2.3 Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not access your contacts, photos (beyond documents you explicitly upload), camera roll, or location unless you grant permission.
• We do not build advertising profiles.

• To provide and improve the JourneyQ service.
• To process your trips, events, and uploaded documents.
• To run AI-based document analysis on files you upload.
• To manage your subscription and Premium features.
• To analyze anonymized usage patterns for product improvement.
• To detect and fix crashes and technical issues.

• Your data is stored in Supabase (hosted in the EU / your selected region).
• All data in transit is encrypted via TLS.
• Row-Level Security (RLS) ensures you can only access your own data.
• Documents are stored in Supabase Storage with signed, time-limited URLs.
• We limit access to production systems to authorized personnel only.

When you upload a document (e.g. a booking confirmation PDF or image), JourneyQ uses AI to extract travel-relevant information such as dates, locations, and event types.

• Documents are processed server-side and are not used to train AI models.
• You may delete your documents and extracted data at any time.
• AI processing results are stored with your account and can be edited or deleted.

We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for advertising purposes.

• Your data is retained as long as your account exists.
• You can delete your account at any time from within the app. Account deletion removes all associated data including trips, events, documents, and uploaded files.
• Analytics data is retained in anonymized form for up to 12 months.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction or deletion of your data.
• Object to processing or request data portability.
• Withdraw consent for analytics tracking.

JourneyQ is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
